Daniel Broby has enjoyed a successful career in both academia and practice. As Director of the Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation, his research into Financial Technology and capital markets has important practical applications.
Complementing his academic career, he worked in a number of Senior Executive positions in the Fund Management Industry. These including Chief Executive, Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Portfolio Manager. His practical skill set includes financial modelling, accounting analytics, investment, index and portfolio construction.
Daniel is focusing his research on new and innovative areas in Financial Technology (FinTech). In particular, he is conducting experiments using blockchain and distributed ledgers in order to demonstrate their speed, efficiency and security. His strength is in addressing practical finance problems through the application of Financial Technology.
